REFUND POLICY

At Markham Basketball, we are committed to maintaining transparency and clarity in our refund and cancellation policies. Participants are advised to review the following terms and conditions carefully to ensure a full understanding of their rights and obligations.

Missed Sessions - General Policy

Refunds and make-up sessions for missed classes are not provided, except as explicitly outlined below.

Exception for Fall 2024 & Winter 2025

Prior Notice of Absence

Participants must provide notice of absence via email (youthprogram@markhambasketball.com) at least one day prior to a missed session to be eligible for make-up sessions or prorated fee adjustments for Winter 2025.

Any missed sessions without at least one day's advance notice will be considered a “no-show” and will not qualify for make-up sessions or fee adjustments.

Make-Up Sessions

Eligibility : Participants enrolled in the Fall 2024 program

Participants enrolled in the Fall 2024 Youth Program (September to December) may schedule make-up sessions for missed classes if prior notice is provided via email. These make-up sessions must be arranged during the Winter 2025 term (January to March) by contacting youthprogram@markhambasketball.com.

Please Note : Missed sessions during the Winter 2025 term are NOT eligible for refunds or make-up sessions, in accordance with our general policy.

Prorated Fees

Eligibility : Participants enrolled in BOTH the Fall 2024 and Winter 2025 programs

Participants enrolled in both the Fall 2024 and Winter 2025 programs who missed sessions during the Fall 2024 term and provided prior notice of absence may be eligible for a prorated adjustment to their Winter 2025 fees. This adjustment will be calculated based on the total number of qualified missed sessions.

Example : If you missed 3 sessions ($35 per session) with prior notice, your Winter 2025 fee will be reduced by $105 ($35 x 3). 

This prorated fee adjustment is exclusively available to participants who are enrolled in BOTH the Fall 2024 and Winter 2025 programs.

How to Cancel Your Registration?

To cancel your registration, please follow these steps:

  1. Contact us directly at youthprogram@markhambasketball.com

  2. Our team will respond to your cancellation request within 1 business day.

  3. The applicable refund policy shall be determined based on the timestamp of your cancellation submission through the email.

Note : For cancellations made before the program start date, a full refund will be issued minus a $50 CAD registration processing fee.

Refund Exceptions

Medical Reasons: Refund requests due to medical reasons must be accompanied by a doctor’s note and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

To request a medical refund, please contact us directly at youthprogram@markhambasketball.com and submit the necessary medical documentation.

Please Note : The final decision regarding approval will be made at our discretion.

Modification Rights

Markham Basketball reserves the right to modify or update this policy at any time without prior notification. Parents or guardians of participants are responsible for remaining informed about any amendments.

Missed Sessions

Refunds and make-up sessions for missed classes are not provided, except as specifically stated herein.

No Refund

No refunds will be provided for requests submitted after the fourth session of the current term of the program.

Missed Sessions

Unfortunately, missed sessions are non-refundable. However, we do offer make-up sessions. Please contact us to arrange a make-up date in the next term. Note that skill levels and groups may differ from the original session.

Refund Exceptions

Medical Reasons: Refunds for medical reasons will be considered if accompanied by a doctor’s note.

Please contact us directly and submit the necessary medical documentation to request a refund for medical reasons.

How to Cancel Your Registration?

To cancel your registration, please follow the following steps:

  1. Complete the Program Withdraw Google Form with the required information.

  2. Submit the form. You will receive a confirmation email acknowledging your request.

  3. Our team will respond to your cancellation request within 24 hours.

  4. The applicable refund policy, as stated above, will be applied based on the timing of your cancellation.

  5. For cancellations made before the program start date, a full refund minus a $50 CAD registration processing fee will be issued.

Additional Information

Processing Time: Please allow up to 7 business days for the processing of refunds once your cancellation request has been confirmed.

Terms and Conditions

By enrolling in our program, you acknowledge and agree to abide by our refund and cancellation policies as outlined on this page.

  1. Modification Rights: Infinity Academy reserves the right to modify or update these policies at any time without prior notice. It is the responsibility of the participant or user to review these policies regularly.

  2. Acceptance of Terms: By proceeding with enrollment, you confirm that you have thoroughly read, understood, and agreed to all terms and conditions set forth in our Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, Compliance & Conduct, and Waiver of Liability, Assumption of Risk, and Indemnity Agreement.

  3. Scope of Liability: Infinity Academy shall not be held liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your enrollment, participation, or any use of our website and services. This includes, but is not limited to, any injuries, damages, or even death that may occur, irrespective of whether such damages arise from negligence, whether active or passive. Our liability is explicitly limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

  4. Participant Responsibility: It is the participant's responsibility to comply with all program requirements, including the submission of necessary forms and adherence to all guidelines provided by Infinity Academy. Failure to comply may result in forfeiture of fees and denial of participation in the program.

  5. Non-Confidential Feedback: Any feedback or suggestions you provide to Infinity Academy through our website or during the course of our programs shall be deemed non-confidential. Infinity Academy shall be free to use such information on an unrestricted basis.

By enrolling in our program, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these terms and conditions and agree to be bound by them.
